On Tuesday, March 28, at 5:30 pm, the Jefferson city council will hold a public meeting at the Jefferson city hall to gather citizen input about the proposal to close the Wilson railroad crossing. Since the construction of the overpass the use of the Wilson crossing has become less. The possible closure would also contribute to reducing the noise from train horns.
The city’s project engineer, Snyder & Associates, will have a representative at the meeting to present information, answer questions and help document suggestions and concerns.
Persons who have questions can call city administrator Mike Palmer at 515-386-3111.
